At The Basin Café our vision is simple. We aim to maintain a space where our environment is celebrated and the customer championed. We’re here to compliment your time spent at the iconic Cataract Gorge and to make it as memorable as possible with great food and service.
Location
The Basin Café is located on the West Launceston side of the Cataract Gorge Reserve Grounds, near the Main Station Chairlift.
Entering the main entrance if you head down the hill towards the pool and past the chairlift you will see A-Frame signage pointing to the Café to your right. The main route to the Café is wheelchair accessible but requires you to navigate down and up quite a steep hill. There is an alternative wheelchair accessible route located via the right side of the main car park which will direct you to a lift.

Hours
The Basin Café is open for Breakfast, Lunch, Morning and Afternoon Tea from 9am onwards seven days a week. Open evenings for booked events, functions and weddings only.
